Mt. Kilimanjaro slowly rises to its world-famous elevation, a guide to Amboseli National Park, which lies at its floor. This park is small but very popular, a testament to its scenic beauty and impressive wildlife, especially its many elephants which you are all but guaranteed to spot striding by in their delightful herds.
Lake Naivasha isn’t just one park but several destinations. There is the fresh-water Rift Valley lake where we’ll take a boat safari, spotting hippos and birds.
Masai Mara National Reserve offers an unforgettable panorama of hills, plains, and rivers all stocked with an awesome display of wildlife – lion, leopard, cheetah, buffalo, and the hordes of the Great Migration. We’ll enjoy unlimited game drives over the vast sweep of this exciting reserve.
(240 km. – Approx. 4 Hrs.)
Gichmak Safari driver guide will pick you up from your Nairobi Hotel/Airport . We’ll head out in our private 4 x 4 Jeep for Amboseli National Park on the Nairobi/Mombasa Highway.
Our drive will take us through Masai country and toward the guiding iconic form of Africa’s highest mountain, Mt. Kilimanjaro.
We should arrive at Amboseli in the late morning with plenty of time to freshen up and enjoy lunch at your accommodation.
Then we’re off in our private 4 x 4 to track wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, gazelle, and lion. We won’t need to track elephants as the park always offers ample herds for our viewing enjoyment.
With Kilimanjaro standing watch over the reserve like a giant picture postcard you’ll love taking photos in this busy and scenic park.

We’ll also have our breakfast at our accommodation and then set out for an extra drive through the park, catching last glimpses of the wildlife and the mighty mountain.
Now, we’re on our way traveling over the scenic floor of the Great Rift Valley. Traveling to Lake Naivasha, we’ll stop in Nairobi at a noted restaurant to enjoy lunch.

We also offer an optional bicycle ride over to Hell’s Gate National Park for more hiking close to the wildlife. Just ask your driver/guide to set this up.
But now it’s time to set out for the most famous wildlife park in the world – Masai Mara National Reserve.
We’ll arrive in time for a game drive and get our first taste of the sweep, the beauty and the active wildlife inhabiting this famous park.
All of Africa’s Big Five are here, and sightings of lion and cheetah are common.

So, we’ll be up early to track that wildlife over hills and savannahs, looking for the big predators but also some of the other 90 species of mammals filling this exciting ecosystem.
The reserve is also home to the Great Migration (July – October), when hordes of gazelle, wildebeest and zebra by the tens of thousands cross over the Mara River into the park on their yearly quest for taller, fresher grasses on which to feed.
We’ll take a picnic lunch at the Mara River, within sight of hippos and crocodiles, and if during the migration season, splendid views of the invading herds crossing into the park, in a sight unmatched anywhere.
Here are some optional activities to enhance your stay at the Mara: Enjoy a visit with the local Maasai people in their nearby village, see their homes, learn about their culture, and perhaps purchase some of their colourful jewelry.
We also offer a pre-dawn hot air balloon safari over the park. This is a not-to-be-missed moment on your tour – imagine viewing the Mara come alive with the new day as the wildlife emerges onto the savannah. Your driver/guide can make all the arrangements.
