Safari Overview

The planet has one of its largest conservation areas in the Tsavo areas; Tsavo East and Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary. Tsavo East is found mid-way between Nairobi and Mombasa. It is one of the largest game reserves in Africa. It’s known for the legend of the man-eaters of Tsavo and also hosts impressive elephants. It is the Galana River which wades through this arid region providing life to the park. Some of the largest elephant herds reside here.

Tour Plan

DAY 1:DIANIBEACH HOTEL – TSAVO EAST – TAITA HILLS (230 KMS – Approx.)

Pick up from your beach hotel/location and proceed to Mombasa via the Likoni ferry crossing.

Depart for an inland trip via the Mombasa – Nairobi highway.

Safari

Commence game viewing drives on entry at the Tsavo East National Park concentrating on the Aruba dam and Kanderi swamp areas of the park where higher number of games are bound to be spotted.

We shall traverse the savannah plains of the Tsavo East in search of game

During the afternoon we proceed to the scenic Taita Hill Game Sanctuary for more game viewing.

Overnight

Overnight at Salt Lick Safari Lodge

DAY 2:TAITA HILLS – DIANI BEACH HOTEL (230 KMS – Approx. 3 hours)

Early morning game drive returning to the lodge for breakfast.

Extra game viewing drive at the Taita Hills Game Wildlife sanctuary

Drop off

Later depart for Diani with lunch stop on the way.

Drop off at your beach resort at the late afternoon / early evening.
